Stuck on apple logo after jailbreak...

So I (stupidly) decided to update my iphone4 from OS 4.1 to OS 4.2.1 last night. Had no idea what I was getting into...

Jailbroke it using redsn0w 0.9.6b6. Tethered jailbreak, whatever I can live with it. Got into cydia just fine. But when I install an app and reboot the device, it gets stuck on the apple logo. So I have to restore it through itunes and jailbreak it again. But the same issue just keeps repeating. I can't reboot without getting stuck.

Can somebody help me out? This whole thing is really frustrating and time-consuming and I wish I just stayed on 4.1...

You dont have to restore it when that happens. You have to boot tethered with redsnow.
