I think way you are describing happened to me but I can't be sure, im no expert. I must have been messing with the settings within the wifi connection, (settings, general, wifi, then that little arrow on the connection) and changed the 'DHCP' to 'BootP' and it would connect but no longer work. when I found that was the problem changed it and it worked fine. but you said it was after the jb...so Im probly way off track good luck
