How to upgrade iP4 - 4.1 to 4.2.1 w/o losing all cydia apps

Hello everyone,

Basically, the title explains everything. I heard about miPatch but that is no longer around. Also, i read that Pkgbackup does not save the apps installed through **********.

Why would you upgrade and lose your untethered jb? Anyway the best thing to do would be to just write down all your cydia apps and reinstall once you update and re-jailbreak.

Use pkgbackup from Cydia. Works like a charm. Well worth the $4 or whatever it is. It even backs up the Cydia apps settings. Google it or check it out in Cydia. You'll be glad you did. Used it in 2 jailbreakings and worked perfectly every time. Even backs up allot of the apple settings and has the ability to link to a Dropbox account which is sweet. If you have as mint Cydia mods an tweaks installed as I do it's a life saver. I would pay $30 if it cost that much.
