Unable to Restore from repeating boot logo!
I've been trying to unlock my iphone by jailbreaking it but I've stupidly updated it to 4.2.1. I did manage to get it jailbroken but after doing the whole Ultrasn0w thing the phone repeatidly shows the boot logo and never actually botts. Now i can't even restore it to apple's own firmware because an error 1015 comes up! Help!
Thanks

If you updated to stock 4.2.1, that baseband is not unlockable.
In order to get out of the boot loop, you'll have to restore to a custom 4.2.1 firmware. If it is an iPhone 4, it might be more complex than that. If not, then you'll have to either create a 4.2.1 custom fw with PwnageTool or if you don't have a Mac, find someone to send one to you. Or if you have SHSHs saved, you can downgrade to 4.1 and kick it out of recovery with TinyUmbrella.

Thanks for you're reply! I've just realised its actually still on 4.1 but what you're saying about creating a custom firmware makes sense, I'll try that thanks! but I don't have a mac so where would i go and what would i say to someone who could do this for me could you? by the way its a 3GS

If it's on 4.1 it's a different story. Because if you restored to 4.1 and got error 1015, all you have to do is kick it out of recovery with TinyUmbrella after the error shows. Then jb as normal.
