ok my iphone was allready jailbroken when I bought from my friend.For some reason the phone would not boot up,so I did a system restore threw itunes.when my phone turns on it shows a emergency screen only and itunes says the sim card is incompadible.Was told that i would have to jail break it again.So I downloaded firmware 3.1.3 to my desktop put iphone into duf mode,then i press shift and restore on itunes.A window opens i go to the folder where i downloaded the firmware open it and there is nothing in it but when i open the folder on the desktop the firmware is there.dont know what is wrong
You need to use redsnow 0.9.4 and point it to a 3.1.2 firmware to jailbreak and activate 3.1.3. you can find a tutorial at the top of the page under guides.
If youre referring to not being able to find the 3.1.3 to restore to in iTunes, you'll have to make sure it is in .ipsw format. If it is in .zip it won't show up in iTunes.
This also applies to running the 3.1.2 ipsw in redsn0w. It must be in .ipsw format.
Downloaded the firmware plugged my iphone in itunes opens up and says "itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode you must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes" now I press shift and restore a window opens I browes to the firmware,I have 2 folders called all_flash and dfu open all flash and there is another folder called all_flash.m68ap.production open that folder then it says no items match your search
