Help to Unlock 3GS fw 4.2.1 new bootrom bb 05.15.04

Hi,
my phone was a unlocked ebay version, which got locked again after I clicked Update and brought it from original firmware to 4.2.1 (this killed my unofficial phone carrier) and then Restore (this froze the whole device into usb picture mode). Now I want to keep my hands off it before I get wise or someone wise helps me out with advice.
I read through the blogs and realize there is a way out, but this will cost me losing my bb and coming to 6.xx. Someone else told me I should wait...
I have no experience with unlocking/jailbreaking so far, so please don't rain with pro terms and names on me too much.

If you need to unlock then that 6.xx baseband is the only way right now.
