    Default iPhone 3G JB NIGHTMARE!

Hey, I'm new to all this forum stuff, but i'll do my best!

I'm having a massive issue after I stupidly performed the 'Erase All Content and Settings' function on my iPhone 3G. It's jailbroken and running 4.1.2 with an upgraded iPad baseband 06.15.00.

I'm running OSX and used PwnageTool 4.1.3 to JB the phone. All went well until I needed to sell the phone on, so I needed to get rid of all my 'content' which I didn't realise entailed the Jb'd iOS!

The phone is now stuck on the 'Pineapple logo' occasionally flashing up a white screen, then instantly back to the logo. The phone refuses to go into DFU mode, via PwnageTool or any other method I've found and holding the home button whilst plugging it into the Mac doesn't work either!

iTunes doesn't recognise the phone, but the Mac will charge it.

I'm at my whits end with the phone, but I really don't want to give up, any suggestions would be amazing, and if you need more information I'll do my best to answer any questions!

    THANK YOU!

Use pwnage tool to make a custom 4.2.1 without the baseband update in it and restore to that.

Thanks, but how would I get that onto my phone, when iTunes/Pwnagtool wont recognise it's there and I can't get it onto DFU?! Appreciate the help!

None of the methods are working, I've tried so many times, I'd be happy to try a few more times but it's just not having it! Sorry about this!

What method are you trying? 10 second home and power then additional 10 second keeping holding home?

Yeah, that's the main one, but then I've tried a few other odd ones on youtube!
The logo doesn't disappear at all during any of the processes like it should, and the phone never powers off..

Do you know if the home and power buttons are full functional?

Yeah, they're both fine, as I used them just before 'the erasing'. The battery is at a constant low, only being ale to be away from the cable for a few mins (I'll replace batt after this!) I don't know if that could affect the DFU?

The battery shouldnt affect it. The cable might but even if the cable isnt connected holding those two buttons should at least restart the device.

No, nothing. It refuses to do anything when the logo is showing. Really hope there's a fix for this! Any way to force it into DFU via the Mac?!

Holding those two buttons is the only way I know how.

Ya, if you can get it to dfu then a custom 4.2.1 without the baseband update in it should definitely fix it.

You can't get into recovery mode either? What happens when you try the sequence while the apple logo is showing? I had trouble with this too the other day, couldn't get my phone into DFU. I think I actually used limera1n to force it into recovery just so I could get iTunes to recognize it and restore.
