Please HELP ME

okay heres the situation

I have a running iphone 3g 3.1.2 with baseband 05.11.07

Recently i have had issues with bad cydia sources that never got fully deleted (ispazio and guardians of chaos)

I decided to reset the phone.. i did so and used the ipsw 3.1.2.. and jailbroke.. i DID have issues with the asl.dll but got it worked out..

Since then I DID jailbreak with blackra1n and installed cydia..
initially i could get into cydia but it took forever to reload then crashed...

NOW it just crashes on opening, i have reinstalled and jailbroke 3 times now and to no avail.. anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

if you want to direct email its [email protected] i would truly appreciate the help.. btw i just use it as an ipod so if there is some change where it cant be unlocked no biggy just jailbroken would be fine.. thanks in advance

Try restoring again but this time use jailbreakme.com or redsnow 0.9.4

You can find a tutorial for redsnow at the top of the page under guides. Jailbreakme.com doesnt need a guide. You just go to that in safari on your phone and "slide to jailbreak"

I've gotta say that by far this is the most informative, and helpful forum that I have seen. Quick replies and great info!!! Last question is there any preference or benefits greater for redsnow / or jailbreak me.. thanks again

Not really, jailbreakme.com requires you to have activated the phone already (get past the emergency call screen) and is definitely the easier of the two. Both work fine though.

any links? i saw the 3.1.3 any words on pwnage, or redsnow?? any reason why my cydia wont work via my blackrain jailbreak?? i wanna do this tonight so any advice would be greatly appreciated

Blackrain installs a very old version of cydia which doesnt open anymore. You should be able to find redsnow 0.9.4 with a quick google. You will need a copy of the 3.1.2 firmware as well to point redsnow to.
