Need a Custom Firmware 4.2.1
Hi,
I know posting links for custom firmwares isn't allowed so if anyone can plz help me out with that somehow. I need a 4.2.1 custom firmware for iphone 3gs new bootrom that preserves the old baseband.
Will really appreciate a reply. I cant trust random links on the internet.

Thanks. I have a little question.
My phone is already in dfu mode. I mean its stuck there. Updating before got me to error 28 so ive let me battery drain for like 3 days now. Im not sure restoring will work but from what i understand, thats the last option i have, right?
So in effect, what i need to do now is
"Run itunes : shift + restore to cfw of 4.2.1
Run redsn0w again to install cydia.
run redsn0w again to tether boot.
Install Ultrasn0w to unlock."
Is this right?
Again thanks for the help.

No, they are all the same, if you have the new bootrom, you will have to tether boot.
If after updating from Cydia and it booted up into frozen apple logo, then watch [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE6AQNYUR0A&feature=player_embedded"]this[/ame]

Thanks but I tried that and it didn't work. Here is what I have done.
Ok I have a 3gs with new boot rom it is on FM 4.2.1 and has BB 6.15.00 I restored it and was stuck in recovery mode. I followed every step on how to fix this.
1. I restored with stock 4.2.1
2. I ran Redsn0w and booted in PWND DFU mode
3.Ran itunes and restored with custom FM
4. iphone boots up but gets stuck at apple logo with spinning circle for ever.
5. Ran RedsnOw on "just boot tethered and it gets stuck on pineapple with spinning circle forever!!!
Please let me know what I'm doing wrong or if I missed something.
Just to let you know I got it to boot up normal the first time but then after that was stuck on apple logo with spinning circle.

This is very important, make sure you run redsn0w 0.9.6rc8 in xp2 compatibility mode.
