Iphone 3gs no service after update to 6.15.

Hi all

I am having difficulty with my 3gs I updated to 4.2.1 and updated the based band to 6.15,

During redsnow it asked when version 3gs i had and i checked the serial its 4th and 5th number are 18 so I said it had the old bootrom it started the process but failed stating i had a new boot 3gs. so I redid the redsnow stating it was new boot, and it completed.

I then follow the procedure to boot the phone and completed the ultrasn0w unlock through cydia, after the last reboot the phone get stuck on the apple logo and after a while reboots justs continues like this

I then put phone into dfu mode to boot through resn0w this works ok but the phone show no signal when a sim is inserted.

I have even inserted the orginal sim and this shows no signal also.

I thought it was a bad jailbrake so I restore but even on offical the orginal sim card shows no signal.

I redid the process above again except this time i stated first time that it was a new boot 3gs, and it ended up same way again stuck in the reboot loop. and still shows no signal on any sim

Opened phone and found that the aerial has detached from board replaced and working fine now on any network.

I am having the same problem with my Iphone 3gs, i recently upgraded to 4.2.1 then changed the bb to 6.15.

i downloaded Ultrasn0w and restarted the phone. i put the sim that i wanted to use in the phone and checked it. It knows that my sim card is there as it is showing my number and my carrier (in this case orange uk) but i dont get a signal.

I am really lost and doont know what to do.

can anybody help me with this.

Run redsn0w and check ipad bb again.

when i ran redsn0w the first time i ticked the ipad bb and it did change the bb to 6.15.

so are you saying the run redsn0w again & do it all over again.

Sorry im just really annoyed with it as everything is working apart from my signal.

Have you installed ultrasn0w. If you have and still getting no signal, run redsn0w and just choose ipad bb again.

Ok so just run the redsn0w again the same way as the first time?

also when i turn the phone off the on again it says "waiting for activation" "this may take some time"

but nothing happens when i leave it

Have you plug your iphone to itunes ?

yeah thats the thing i have had it in itunes and its all set up on there showing my mobile number etc and as i said the phone is picking up the sime as it says Orange and shows my number but no signnal

Then you are already unlocked. Try taking the sim card in /out or uninstall/ reinstall ultrasn0w.

If you use a prepaid sim to activate, it may not activate.
