Help!! iPod touch reset!
okay so i decided to rejailbreak because cydia and several other things weren't working. i chose on my iPod to completely reset it and after it finished, it stays on the screen with the Apple logo and my computer and iTunes won't pick it up

You will need to put it into dfu mode. Hold the power button and home button for 10 seconds then after the 10 seconds let go of the power button and keep holding the home button. DO THIS WHILE THE IPOD IS PLUGGED INTO THE COMPUTER. Do you know what firmware you were on?

Is the back flat. Or sort of rounded. Also can you tell me when you bought it. I want to know because if you have a newer second gen then there may be a problem. Just want to know.

The problem is that if you restore to 4.2.1 and it is a newer one there is no jailbreak for it right now. You want to jailbreak again correct?

i didn't restore to 4.2.1, i chose the option in the settings, clear data and settings or whatever it's called(the one that makes you hit reset twice to make sure you want to do it)

Oh that is what caused the boot loop. For future reference never ever press that button while jailbroken. It will make you need to restore. Do you know if you have your shsh's saved?

Shsh is your firmware and what apple or Cydia views so it gets signed. That way you can upgrade or down grade to it

Shsh is the way you can restore to a firmware apple has stopped signing. It kind of saves the signature. It is very important. Do you remember if in cydia you ever clicked the make my life easier button. It popped up like once.
