no service

Hi
i have jailbroken and then unlocked iphone 3gs with Cydia. put another sim in and it was searching for network but now says no service and when i go into settings, carrier, it comes up and says (unable to load network list). do i need to sync on itunes

Have you installed Ultrasn0w and what is your baseband or modem firmware ?
What does it say on your carrier from setting > general >about. Do you see your carrier there ?

Your baseband cannot be unlocked. If you want to unlock , then you have to go with ipad baseband but you might lose your GPS function. Do you want to proceed ?

Run redsn0w 0.9.6 rc8, browse to stock 4.2.1, check only the box ipad bb and finished up the process. You don't have to restore or jailbreak again.

If you have the new bootrom, you will need to tether boot from Redsn0w.
