cydia is white when put on my ipone

Hi
Can anyone help please. i jailbroke my iphone and when i done redsn0w and it all finished CYDIA is just a white app on the iphone and wont 0pen. WOT HAVE I DONE WRONG? SORRY IM A PAIN

What type of iPhone do you have? Sounds like you need to boot tethered.

He does, as it says he has an iPhone 3 on 4.2.1

3 can be 3G or 3GS.

Would also need to know the bootrom.

You can find out your bootrom version with idetector: iH8sn0w.com | Jailbreak your iPod touches and iPhones

That means you have a tethered jailbreak. So you need to run redsnow again and choose the option to boot tethered. You will have to do this on every reboot.

Just one more question i have jailbroken and then unlocked with Cydia. put another sim in and it was searching for network but now says no service and when i go into settings, carrier it comes up and says unable to load network list. do i need to sync on itunes ?

Not, sure. Maybe try resetting all settings (remember you will need to boot tethered again).
