    Default iPhone 3GS gone mad

    Hello guys,

I got some trouble with a iphone 3gs running 4.2.1. on a new baseband (05.15.04)

Phone was originally unlocked from O2 UK and i was using it in Greece with no problems.

All started after i decided to jailbreak it. I started getting No service and the phone would reboot on its own. Now i`m stuck on the recovery screen.

If i try to restore via itunes to original 4.2.1. i get error 1013.
Apparently the phone has locked itself again, because i managed to run it on a custom firmware, but i get the greyed no wifi sign and can`t read the baseband i`m on.

Also tried to update to ipad baseband with redsnow beta 5, but my phone gets stuck on the "Updating baseband" screen

    Any ideas?

I would also like a link for a custom firmware 4.2.1. for a 3gs on a new bootrom so i can finally update to 6.15.00

    Many thanks

Make sure you have the latest itunes, restore to 4.2.1 again. Then run redsn0w 0.9.6rc8 , check only ipad bb update and install cydia. If you have the new bootrom, every reboot , you will need to rerun redsn0w again to tether boot.

    Hey again

I restored my device with the custom firmware 4.2.1. and baseband 6.15.00
everything went smoothly, got to connect to itunes screen with the screen unlock option (no restore mode)

I run redsnow now, check install cydia and ipad baseband and my phone gets stuck at the "flashing baseband" screen

    Any ideas?

    Ok a small update

Run my custom firmware again and installed cydia only

Phone will run but i get the greyed No Wi-Fi and bluetooth problems so i cant run cydia without wifi

    Why does this happen?

Still no baseband info on the phone and it keeps rebooting on its own
Before the reboot i get a message saying my iphone cant make and receive calls and restore is needed

I think you have messed up your iPhone by updating twice iPad BB , once with custom and the other with redsnow.
Now try restoring to cfw of 4.2.1 with no iPad bb.

Restoring with the cfw works just fine.

The problem is that i get a message "Restore needed. Iphone can`t make or receive calls , restore with itunes" and later reboots itself.

Also after the installation of the cfw and cydia via redsn0w i got my wifi greyed out , bluetooth also

My iPhone 3gs is doing the exact same thing except i need no unlock im on att and my baseband is the stock 05.15.04. it wont update to a stock fw, only a cfw and even then it wont read sim, wifi or bluetooth and then reboots every 3 minutes or so
