Default Should I upgrade to 4.2.1?

I've been on a custom firmware since 3.1.2, now I'm on 4.0.1 and I was just wondering if I should upgrade and when I say upgrade, I mean the whole shebang (stock firmware, baseband etc. etc.)

I have an Oldboot 32GB 3Gs which is factory unlocked. So basically I just need the Jailbreak which redsnow can provide for the current 4.2.1

The reason I am asking is that my Wifi seems not very stable. I will need to switch off and switch it on all the time to be able to browse and do my thing. This usually happens when I've been connected for a while and have been idle for a couple of hours.

So should I do a stock upgrade and then jailbreak (thus getting a new baseband and what not) or should I stick with a custom firmware style? Again, I have a factory unlocked Oldboot 3Gs.

    What do you guys think?

I would say go for it your factory unlocked so you wont lose your unlock and 4.2.1 will run smoother then what your on
