    Default email problem

Auto check Email won't notify me when new email comes in.It will only notify me when i actually click on the mail icon. Then the phone's ringtone goes off and the emails finally load. I'm running a iPhone 3gs 16gb 4.2.1 with ipad baseband 06.15 jail broken with with Reds0w and unlocked with ultrasn0w

So, Say if i lock my phone. Then i get an email a minute later, it won't notify me or even make a noise, until i actually take the phone go in mail app and refresh it. Then the tone goes off and the new emails appear. This never use to do this, not even on wifi. Only until i switched over to tmobile. So how do i get to work like it used too? How do i get it to notify me when an email is new? Also the message icon, there is that red box telling me how many new emails there is, it won't tell me when i receive a new email. It won't add itself to the old number.

It looks like you have a push notification problem.

There are tweaks to fix push notification. Did you hactivate your iphone or you activate it thru sim card.

I have also seen the ipad bb giving push notification problem too.

I had similar issue a while back and the culprit was Remove Background. It was killing the Mail app. Once I updated Remove Background to not remove Mail, I was golden.

Same holds true for Phone -- when it was being killed, I would not receive voicemail notifications.

    Just a thought.....

i got no success yet. The little red box on the mail app never gets updated with the correct amount of emails.
