New to the forums - First post. So sorry if this has been answered but cant find this specific question.

I am currently on 4.01 and used the Jailbreakme PDF exploit to originally jailbreak my phone.. Now I am finding that a lot of the great themes etc. that are out there that I want to use require 4.1 or 4.2. so I am interested in upgrading.

My question is how to properly backup my jailbreak information, apps and settings, upgrade and then rejailbreak. I want to be untethered so I think I still have to wait on 4.2 but possibly will go to 4.1 if there is a straightforward method.

I have pkgbackup and ISHSHit installed on my phone and have run both.. But not quite sure what to do with it all..

So looking for some help and or advice on how to move forward ..
