Heres the story my iphone bricked trying to download a cydia app then my iphone had to be restored using itunes i have a 2g 3.1.3 im guessing now. For some reason all the jailbreaks wont work ie snowbreeze redsnow. They all keep telling me the ipsw is wrong i cant seem to find out the problem i was able to jailbreak easily the last 2 years i dont know whats wrong. What would you use to jailbreak a 2g iphone in 2011. Thank you

Download stock 3.1.3.

Download stock 3.1.2 as well.

Shift+restore to stock 3.1.3.

Download redsn0w 0.9.4

Open redsn0w and browse to 3.1.2

Continue and select Cydia (and unlock if you need it)

Continue to follow on-screen prompts

After Redsn0w finishes, you should be jb and unlocked.
