    Thumbs down How to change "root" Password...

    I have a 3gs on 4.2.1...downloaded Terminal and it crashes withing a Milli-second of launching :/

    Is there any other way or any one have a work-around of some sort?

    You could SSH into it and then you type passwd

    At the bottom of Cydia it tells you how.

    What was the exact name of the app you downloaded?

    Ok...so I downloaded the Mobile Terminal Package as recommend in Cydia....

    Did you download OpenSSH also?

    If WinSCP does not work try Putty.
