3gs w/ updated baseband: Questions!

Hey folks. So i had a thread, and cant find it. Anyways, here's the low down, IYeow went through this with me, but i kinda need a bit more info before i try and do anything.

I have an Iphone 3GS w/ new bootrom, it currently has the Iphone baseband so i cant jailbreak it. THe more i look around, the 3gs with new bootrom can be jailbroken if you update to the Ipad BB. I recall something about losing GPS features... But im not sure exactly what's entailed to that. In the long run, ive decided im going to be getting a GARMIN setup for my car, So, a GPS feature may not be neccessary (this is what they mean right?)

Anyways, im hoping to get a bit more info on this before i attempt anything. If need be, i can put my Iphone out of commission for a few days, ive got a BB Bold 9700 w/ os6Beta on it as my main phone.

Hopefully someone could clear this up for me, so i dont get nailed to a wall.

By the way, if i have an IPAD BB, and decide later to install 4.4(when it comes out, obviously not right away), will i get an option to go back to an Iphone BB, or am i stuck to the IpadBB?

If there is no solution to downgrade the ipad BB, you will be stuck forever. If you can wait for a new unlock, I would recommend you to wait since you currently have a phone to use.

I actually have 2 phones. Unfortunately everything i purchase through Itunes seems to not work for me. Everything i have purchased on Cydia, i cant use because i cant jailbreak my phone again. My main concern is my alarm clock that i purchased... yeah, it was only a buck, but whats happening is beyond me. If its put into my dock-charger (nightstand unit made by Sanyo, not a cheap one either) the ringer doesn't work, If its plugged into the wall charger via USB, then it works. Id like to get my money back from Apple, but im sure they wont do it. They keep re-directing me to their site that doesn't exist.
