How to jailbreak (iphone 3g) 4.2.1

I need to know how to jailbreak my iphone ive tried softwares to do it like limerain and black wheather but it just frezzes and i have to restore it. I dont see any software to jailbreak a 4.2.1 so if you know of any could you please pass them to me. Thank you

Is Redsn0w the only option?
I have a 3g too, on 3.1.2, 05.11.07, but my power button doesn't work, so can't run the Redsn0w Jailbreak.

Are there other options out there? Limera1n and Greenpois0n seem to be for 3GS and 4G.

Blackra1n worked to get me to 3.1.2, but doesn't seem to be a newer version of this.

You can use jailbreakme.com up to and including 4.0.1.

On a 3G no. Just go to 3.1.3 or stay at 3.1.2 and use it.
