QUICK HELPE PLease....About upgrading to IOS 4.2.1

I have an Iphone 4 with ios 4.1 and its Jailbroken with Pwnage Tool


I want to upgrade to 4.2.1.........and I cant.... How can I do this.....I dont want to be jailbroken....I just wanna upgrade to 4.2.1

Yes it usually gets stuck at restoring.....


I had Tiny Umbrella open in background.....

I have baseband 02.10.04


Am I missing something??

I cant tell if its stuck in restoring mode..... or what....I have 3 SHSH saved......


Which one do I need.... I am not exactly sure how to upgrade.....I just wanna upgrade to 4.2.1 no Jailbreak

If you are getting error 1013 do this: Open tiny umbrella, click advanced, deselect the box that says set hosts to cydia on exit. Then close tiny umbrella and try the restore again.

I am in recovery mode now.... can I still do the click box method or should get back to JB ios 4.1?

Or should I just use Redsnow Beta 4 and jailbreak 4.2.1 or just go back to ios 4.1 JB......

You can do the steps i said then restore.

You say you dont want jailbreak? Then just use update from itunes instead of restore

I tried that .... and it does not update......it seems to get stuck at restore...unless it just takes FOREVER.......


Then I open TIny Umbrella and it starts working, but then will go to error 1013

Yes I have WiFi Sync installed on my ios 4.1 JB Iphone 4

Uninstall it on the computer, it can cause restore issues.

Should I wait for official JB or use...redsnow 4.2.1 one... its still in beta form

Yes I have that in Tiny umbrella ....along with 2 others.....I do not think I have anything on my Mac when I got WiFi Sync on my iphone?

OK I found a Wi Fi Sync package on Mac and I delted it ... but how to I uninstall it or delete it .... Is is an application

OK .... I got it uninstalled on my Mac I got it uninstalled on my iphone......


So they is probably the problem.....but there is the thing..... How stable is redsnows 0.9.7b4 new beta ios 4.2.1 JB?

Should I do it or wait till an official one.....cause that Wi-Fi Sync is probably the answer to why I could not upgrade....



What iphone or iphones do you have.....

Anychance you have any extra old ones...or ipod touches.....my daughter really wants one

The beta has 2 bugs I know of. No Bluetooth and skype doesn't work.

OK I do not use Bluetooth.....Just downloaded the Skype App so my mother in law could talk to my dauther hmmmmm
