ok in my other thread i had a failed time at jailbreaking my iphone for the first time
but i dont know how it restored after it bricked on me

but it says in the general>about screen

version: 3.1.3 (7E18)

modem firmware 05.12.01

now i might be stupid or something but this version is jailbreakable?

and that i should NOT update to 4.0 something?


but i tried saving the iphones SHSH earlier and i got this

Yes you can jailbreak this firmware. The easiest for you is on your phone go to JailbreakMe the iPhone 3G 4.0 and stuff like that are your shsh's which means you can restore to any of those firmwares. I would stick to 3.1.3 because that is the best on the iPhone 3G.

If you need an unlock then after you go to jailbreakme and jailbreak go to cydia and install ultrasn0w.

i tried that jailbreakme.com it installs cydia but then it just freezes up but let me try it now thanks i post feedback
