Default Location Services / Compass not working

First off, my apologies if this is not the correct place for this question...
As the title implies, my location services is not working. I have an iP4 running 4.0.1 on AT&T. I bought this the week that they came out and JB it through jailbreakme.com within a couple of weeks of buying it, if my memory serves me correct. Anyway, it has had no problems up until recently. Any apps that use location, ie. FB Check-in, Maps, Yelp, Loopt, etc. cannot find my location. It just keeps spinning and eventually says your location cannot be found. This problem just started recently as I have a record of checking in somewhere as late as Dec. 14th. I usually use the Map app to check for traffic but since it can't find my location, it renders it pretty useless. Also, not sure if this is related but the Compass app also does not work. When I open it, the compass does not move and it just stays on zero. Not sure when that happened as I've never used it before. Yes, Location Services is on and I've tried many resets as well as turning Airplane mode on-off. The last thing I remember installing from Cydia was a weather widget but I have no idea if that was before or after the problems started. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Uninstall those apps one by one to identify the cause. If it still doesn't resolve your issue, restoring again to see if it is a software or hardware issue.

Ok, so I removed FB, Yelp and Loopt and re-installed and still no luck. I also restored from a previous back-up that dates back from when I know location was working and still no luck. Because of this, is it safe to say that something is wrong with the phone, and not any of the apps? Another option I thought of is to Restore to it's factory settings. But it says if I do that it will restore but also update my phone to the newest version of software, which I don't want. I would like to keep it 4.0.1 if possible.
