So I picked up another iPhone and will be using it on T-Mobile. I've jail broken before but it was two years ago. The phone is a 3G with 3.1.3 firmware with 5.12.01 Boot rom. I have a Mac so I should use pwnage tool to jailbreak then ultrasnow from cydia to unlock?

I have Windows which may be different but with that firmware, you can save yourself most of the hassle and just use jailbreakme.com but make sure Java is turned on in settings. Go to that site in Safari on your iPhone and its as simple as sliding the button.

I don't mind doing it the long way.

Ok I think I read enough to know I should use Pwnage tool. Question now is can use the newest version of Pwnage tool 4.2? Or try and find an older version?
