Iphone 4 stuck on apple logo boot

Hello people,

Well I'm really stuck and tried a lot of methods to solve my problem but without success.

I have an iphone 4 which was on firmware 4.1 and jailbroken with limerain.
I had no pb with it and no plans to upgrade or restore my phone.

Yesterday I was playing new fishing game and suddently my iPhone goes off and after that unable to boot, loopback on apple logo

I said okay I'll do a clean restore with itunes to 4.2 even if I lose my jailbreak.
But impossible, I always get the "apple server could not be reached" or error(9) (my connection and wifi are OK of course).

I then tried to edit the Windows Hosts file to point gs.apple.com to cydia and restore FW 4.01 or 4.1 (for which I have saved on cydia SHSH) => no way, I always get the error 3194.

although When I ping gs.apple.com I can reach server 74.208.10.249

my iphone 4 is dead :'(

If you have wifi sync, uninstall it. I know it causes restore problems.

Make sure you have the latest itunes. You cannot restore from frozen apple logo. Put it into recovery and restore to 4.2.1. Error 3194, even if you have edited your hosts file, it means you don't have 4.1 blob. You have to go with 4.2..1 at the very least.

- Hosts file cleaned (no gs.apple.com redirection)
- internet connection working fine
- Iphone in recovery mode (itunes with cable)

I click on retore in iTunes, and after few minutes I get error (9) or/and error (14)

I can not go further

Are you hitting restore or upgrade ? as you need to upgrade or

Download a stock 4.2.1 and do a Shift+Restore

As you can see, my phone is dead, now the only thing I want is to see it alive again...
I'm trying to upgradeto last official apple firmware 4.2.1 with last itunes version. no matter if I loose JB.

Went today to apple store, and they changed my iphone 4 with new one immediately without any problem !
already jailbreaked by redsn0w
