HELP! Volume Button Causes Crash!
Hi all! :-)
I have a 3GS, carrier-free and with old bootroom, and I've just upgraded it from v. 3.1.2 jb to v. 4.2.1 jb-ed with redsn0w.
Everything went fine. I've updated the firmware directly from iTunes 10.1 and then I run the redsn0w so that it could patch everything and install Cydia. And so it did. When I rebooted everything was there, including my sms, my adress book and everything, then I run PGKbackup and I re-install (part of) my previously bought Cydia apps.
Now everything is working smoothly. Wi-fi, BT, and so forth BUT ...
whenever I push the side volume button, the iPhone locks up and go to Safe Mode and then I have to manually respring it.
If I go to iPod and change the volume sliding on the screen everything works, same thing during a call if I use the slide from sounds settings. But as soon as I touch the volume button ... the phone goes in safe mode.
Any hints!?
... It's really frustrating!
Thanks in advance for your help!

back up all your info manually (info tab)
Then restore the phone, but DON'T restore from backup, setup as a new phone.
Then rejailbreak with RedSn0w.The only thing I ask in return for helping, is that you click the thanks button, Thanks!
