    Default Problem with iBooks.

I recently purchased a new book and when I went to open it I get: There is a problem with the configuration of your iPad(or iPhone whichever I try to open the book on). Please restore with iTunes and reinstall iBooks.

Now this happens on both my iPad and iPhone 4. My iPhone is running 4.1 using limera1n and the iPad is using the tethered 4.2.1 redsnow.

BTW, it also happens on SH!t my dad says which I bought several months back while I was on 4.0 using the jbme.com JB. The funny thing is, it doesnt seem to affect any book download that was free, like the IOS application programming guide made by Apple.

Has anyone had this issue before? I dont want to have to restore to fix this if there is a easy fix.

I have this problem too and not too sure what it is.

I know that a temporary fix is to just keep opening it and dismissing it a few times until it actually opens but as to a permanent fix ... no idea??

Yeah, this is garbage! I just paid for my first eBook today with the ibook app and I cannot open it. Freakin' $10.99 down the drain. I'm on my iphone4 with 4.2.1 via redsn0w b4 untethered. At first, I thought it was a beta 4 issue with redsn0w, but after much interweb reading, this has been going on with iOS4 since the dawn of time. Mostly a JB issue, but even some non JB devices have problems.

There is finally a fix available for the iBooks problem after a JB. I tried it on my iPad (4.2.1 jailbroken via GP) and it now works great.
