Urgent Help REquired

New here and i know this problem was posted earlier .......i just need a little help from scratch ......i would appreciate someone helping me

Here is the story ........i had an iphone 3gs i jailbroke wtih redsnow and then everything was fine and then the phone restarted and got stuck in apple logo.........i tried run tethered more from redsnow ......dint help ......finally i tried restoring wtih itunes.....and it said cannont recognize build...

now i am stuck with apple logo..please help...i need urgent help as i am new to this place

Either way, turn the phone off and unplug it, hold the home button and plug it back in. It should boot in recovery mode, from there just hit restore on itunes. it will restore to 4.2.1

ok two questions....

1) i did do a restore in itunes but that was after pressing both power and home and then home and then hitting restore in itunes ...it said build ineligible.

2)once i restore to 4.2.1 can i jailbreak again (am sorry guys am a complete noob)

1. You didn't manually select a firmware? You just hit restore and it said ineligible? Try doing it in recovery mode.

2. Yes, but you most likely will be tethered. Only way you wont, is if your using an old bootrom 3gs, but those devices are getting rarer and rarer.

I wouldnt mind a tethered ........ as long as i can recover my device ...lemme try what you said and get back

i tried recovering , it gives error 1015 .....what do i do next
