3GS stuck in restore mode

Hi people I am praying you can help me

I have a iphone 3gs which i unlocked with jailbreakme website about a year ago.

Im pretty sure it was software 4.0.1 and i recently upgraded my mac and itunes 10 would not work with the phone as i wanted so i thought ill just upgrade to the latest ios so i clicked restore in itunes and it downloaded the latest software.

installation didnt work and i have been stuck on the recovery mode/plug me into itunes screen ever since

as you can probably guess i am a little retarded and dont know what i am doing.. i downloaded redsnow 9.6 and attempted a few things i saw in videos on youtube but its just not having it.

i just want to get it working again.. doesn't have to have cydia and what not. just a working iphone!!!

any help would be superb!

what errors are you getting?

I have been trying everything so had loads of different errors... latest is ( 0xE8000065) after trying to install latest software in itunes 10.1 in restore mode

Try a different computer. I mean itunes errors. If you have the latest itunes and you are restoring to 4.2.1 ,you should be able to.

i just keep getting error (9) halfway through the installation.. used 2 mac books so far.




could apple have blocked my phone?

Block your iphone for what reason ? Reboot your computer , download the firmware and option/alt + restore to 4.2.1 fw again.

i figured it out.. wi fi sync which i had on my mac seems to have been the problem. i uninstalled it and worked straight away
