3GS 4.2.1 BB 06.15.00 To Downgrade or Upgrade?

I am fairly new to this whole Imodding scene but am off to a good start.

I had a 05.15.04 BB so I was forced to upgrade to 6.15 to unlock it.

Phone is working great with a "difficult" provider.


I have a couple problems.

One is that if the phone turns off (dead battery) the phone must be plugged into a computer and "Boot tethered" with red snow.

the other is the phone is glitchy with certain apps. text messages make the springboard crash sometimes. Other times apps wont open till you open and close other apps ....

nothing too major but like I said, I am very new to the Iphone hacking scene. Any help, links or general thoughts on this phone would be really appreciated. I just want to be sure im on the right track.

If you have 4.1 shsh blob, then you can still to stock 4.1 firmware and use Limer1an to jailbreak to get an untethered stable jailbreak.

I do not have any firmware hashes saved. When I received the phone it was a 4.2.1 with BB 05.15.04 So afaik a saved hash couldn't help anyway. I was unaware at the time, that this could be necessary.


What is the consensus in my situation?
Should I wait for a new release that I can easily downgrade from 06.15.00?

If you have updated to ipad baseband , nothing will bring it down unless the dev team has a solution to downgrade the baseband.
