Can't seem to get Limerai1n to jailbreak 3gs

been trying to jb my phone for a while now with no sucsess. i have iphone 3gs ver 4.0.1 (8a306) with baseband 05.13.04 . it got stuck at DFU mode and then having to restore so can anyone help me out with direction of what to do?

If limera1n isnt working on one computer you should try it on another. Also try searching for the limera1n icon with spotlight on your phone.

You should also figure out what SHSH you have with tiny umbrella and what bootrom you have with idetector

Same results on other computers. I ran tinyumbrella, it showed installed firmware version 4.0.1 and saved SHSHs 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.1, 4.2.1, and 4.2b3.
I can't run idetector, it kept saying that " Another device other than 3GS was detected. Please connect ONLY a 3GS". I don't have anything connect beside 3GS

What color is the writing on the back where it says iPhone? Dark grey or bright silver?

Dark gray. Should I upgrade to 4.2.1 then jb? To Should I worry about baseband when upgrade to 4.2.1?

Then you have a iPhone 3G there. That is why limera1n isn't working on it.

Sorry, i was told that this is a 3GS. So, redsnow is what i need?

For 4.0.2 you would need a older redsnow, 0.9.5 maybe (not too sure) and point it to a 4.0 firmware.
