YES! I did it! I got 4.1 back!!
I finally downgraded my firmware from 4.2 back to 4.1 using TinyUmbrella. I lost my jb after loading the Shrink app & had to restore back to factory cuz I'm a noobie & didn't know to backup my files with TU. So after facepalming & going thru withdrawal from missing my mod phone, I read lots of threads on this forum to guide me back to jb heaven. After downloading the newest version of TU & storing my files I then restored back to 4.1 & it worked! Then I did the jb again with limera1n. That brown Cydia app never looked so good!
Now my problem: I backed my phone up today b4 the restore. I want to sync all my apple apps/contacts/email etc. back but don't know how. Right now my phone is connected to itunes. The "set up your iphone" screen is up.
Do I click on where it says to restore from my last sync from earlier today? I'm so shocked that I was able to get back to 4.1 on my own & would hate to mess up by doing the wrong thing. Thx for any assistance. I wouldn't have gotten this far without u guys.

Same happened to me after downloading Shrink app; my phone crashed & was forced to restore to 4.2.1 And I didn't have my shsh files stored (or so I thought). Becuz I clicked "make my life easier" on Cydia I was able to download TinyUmbrella and save my shsh files. Then I downloaded Limera1n to jailbreak again. It worked! I'm back to 4.1. But now i'm stuck and need help cuz I DESPERATELY need my contacts back!I just don't know how to sync all my stuff back without restoring back to the old firmware. But try what I did; good luck. ;-)

set up as new phone or restore to backup of "pinkyphee's iPhone" or whatever that screen says should just put your contacts/pictures/browser history/sms/etc.. back on your phone without messing with the firmware
