New iphone *need to jailbreak & unlock
I was having a issue with my old iphone 4 so I took it to Apple Store. They gave me a new Iphone 4 and now Im not able to jailbreak it and unlock it. I try to use the restore feature but still nothing. I have Tmobile so I don't have a att sim card.
Please I need help. It's telling me *The Iphone could not be restored. This device isnt eligible for the requested build.
At this point what can I do? I really need my phone to be working again.

You can't restore to an older FW that you don't have shsh blobs for. you're stuck and you'll just have to wait for the next jailbreak/unlock.

Damn are you for real? I don't even know what version I have on my phone or nothing since I can't activate it.
ALso, When I connect the phone on Itunes it askes me to update to 4.2. I just got this phone from the Mac store today so what can I do?
So I managed to get my phone activated and Im running 4.1 now the only thing is that my bb is 2.10.04 so I cant unlock it correct? I install ultrasnow but its not working. Is there anything I can do?Last edited by Djflacolive; 12-26-2010 at 10:57 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

While you can jailbreak untethered at the moment (and hacktivate), you cannot currently unlock. However, you cannot restore your iPhone and maintain an untethered jailbreak (you can only restore to iOS 4.2.1, which is a tethered jailbreak).
ultrasn0w should be updated in the near future (no ETA though) to accommodate that baseband version...
Save your SHSH blobs, be careful with your phone in regards to what you install (y'all need to avoid a must-restore situation), and be patient (hang in there for an ultrasn0w upgrade).Last edited by Orby; 12-26-2010 at 11:13 PM.
