iphone 4 downgrading problems

i cant seem to download the 4.1 firmware right it wont come up on my desktop correct i did this a long time ago and when it worked the file was a cube on my desktop now it just comes up as a zip and when i extract it still comes up as a folder not a cube i tried to use winrar but maybe im just not doing it right sorry im not that great with computers so sorry if i sound stupid but i just need help thanks
