Hi Guys,
I have a 3gs, new bootrom, 4.0.1 firmware, 5.15.4 baseband.
I'm wondering if I upgrade to 4.2.1 baseband 6.15, can i then downgrade to have 4.0.1 with 6.15? will this work or is the 6.15 only compatible with 4.1 and 4.2?
Thanks in advance
PS I have the shsh blob for 4.0.1 and 4.2.1

You can upgrade to the 06.15.00 baseband via redsn0w 0.9.6b6 *after* you're at either iOS 4.1 stock (STRONGLY RECOMMENDED) or iOS 4.2.1 stock. 4.0.1, I don't think there's a tool that'll (easily) let you upgrade the baseband like that.
PwnageTool 4.1.3 will also allow you to upgrade the baseband and restore to 4.1 pre-jailbroken with iTunes in one swoop. Worth consideration too.
EDIT: I also think you could go to 4.1/4.2.1, run redsn0w, upgrade the baseband, and drop back down to iOS 4.0.1 (then re-unlock with ultrasn0w). Though I don't know why you'd want to do it that way, it should work.
My plan is to upgrade to 4.2.1 and baseband 6.15. then downgrade the firmware to 4.0.1 as I have the shsh blob for it. I can't upgrade to 4.1 as I don't have the blob. But I am just wondering if 4.0.1 will work with 6.15?
I only have the shsh for 4.0.1 and 4.2.1 . I keep getting the 3194 error when trying to upgrade to 4.1. Tried running TU and kept getting error 1604. Which I'm assuming is because I don't have the 4.1 shsh
No, just have shsh 4.0.1, shsh 4.2.1, tried that, I have upgraded to 4.2.1 but want to sort out the tethered jailbreak. If I downgrade to 4.0.1 will it cause any problems?
Works perfectly, After I updated to 4.2.1 and baseband 6.15, i downgraded the firmware to 4.0.1, no battery issues, don't know how to check for GPS issues yet, but I am in the process of getting tomtom sat nav app for it, fingers crossed.
