Please help. Cydia problem
I have a problem with cydia. I installed chatpic from cydia and now whenever i scroll my packages in cydia, when it reaches C and just before it appears in the packages list in cydia, cydia just crashes so i cant uninstall it? Any idea on how i can install it?
Cheers

Did you up date to the new Cydia ? as one of the first update had a problem with package scrolling.
Install the one i have attached and this will get rid of the problem of it crashing when scrolling.
or
You could install Cydelete, this means you can delete cydia stuff the same way you do Apple apps, e.g press hold wiggle delete

No problem pal, just remember the thanks Button

did you try the cydelete or the cydia update ?
If it does not work with cydelet then update cydia to get rid of the scrolling problem.
1. Unzip the file i gave you and drag it into /private/var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall
Then either run ifile if you have got it and go to the Cydia file i have given you and install it or just run Cydia it's self and it will update (faster Cydia) then take the problem app off in Cydia.
If all that fails you could just ssh into you phone and delete the app in there.

You unzip it and it will be a .deb file. Put it in autoinstall and reboot your iphone.
OR use ifile and select the deb file and install it.Last edited by iYeow; 01-03-2011 at 10:51 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Cydia crashing
I to am having an issue not quite like onlinegamesnz, but with Cydia. I apologize ahead of time if this is the wrong forum but I have been searching for days for a resolution. I recently had to restore my phone, I JB w/ blackra1n. Issue is, when I open up Cydia, whether I let it update, add a repo, it will close out and when I try to get back in it; it will crash. I'm on 3.1.2 with a base of 7D11. I've always liked this OS and am a little anxious in upgrading to an OS that is jailbreakable without a tether. If anyone could please help, you would save my dog from future puntings and I would be greatly appreciate it. *Please note* I only ask here as a last resort. I've been doing this for sometime, but am lost now. Thanks guys/gals in advance.

Go download the new version of cydia (3366) , it is a deb file. Put it in root/media/cydia/autoinstall and reboot your iphone.
