    Question Which JB (iPT4 4.0)?

I'm really going to hate myself for asking this n00bish question, but I have been away from the iDevice scene and JB scene for several months. Which JB should I use? I just want to make sure I will be picking the best JB to use, since, when I first JBd my previous iPT3, I foolishly used Blackra1n, which wasn't the most stable JB in the world.

I have an iPT4 with OFW 4.0.0. From what it looks like, I can only use Limera1n to JB my device with a bootrom exploit, correct? Also, just to verify, a bootrom exploit is a hardware exploit, which can only be patched by a hardware revision, NOT FW update, correct?

Thanks in advance! And sorry once again for such a n00bish question, but I just want to make sure I'm picking the best JB for my sceneario.

If you have your SHSH saved with Cydia ? you could go to 4.1 firmewar and Jailbreak with limera1n or greenpois0n, as long as you dont need the unlock. 4.1 is the best firmwear for the iPhone 4 at the moment.

there is no difference between the two jailbreaks, i used limera1n on my IP4 on 4.1 and it works flawlessly. But only go there if you don't need the unlock.

Limera1n should be fine on 4.0. Jailbreakme like iYeow said is also a fine choice. It's quick and easy and no computer required.

Yeah, but is Jailbreakme a bootrom exploit?? I don't think it is. I would rather take a bootrom expoit JB (limera1n) any day over a useland exploit. Bootrom exploits pwn ur idevice for life, rather than having to play the cat-and-mouse game per firmware.

I think I will be going with limera1n for JBin my iPT4 (FW 4.0). Unless there are any other legit bootrom exploit JBs out there for FW 4.0.0?

One more question: Will I need SHSH blobs in order to keep my device pwnd and forever JBd with Limera1n's bootrom exploit? (Just asking, because I miss previous opportunities to save my blobs for 4.0 )

Thank you for verifing my rediculously n00bish question!

If you missed your 4.0 shsh blob, then your next restore will not be 4.0 fw anymore. You can now jailbreak your device once on this 4.0 firmware which is already on your ipod touch.
