need help with my ipod touch 2g on 3.1.3

yes i have windows 7 and tiny umbrella. ok well first off i jailbroke my ipod touch 2g non mc model with spirit a long time ago but now cidia tell me it can update crucial things because the firmware needs to be 4.0 or higher. so i guess i need to update to 4.0.1 and jailbreak using jailbreakme. i put make my life easier and i have 4.0 4.0.2 4.1 4.2.1 shsh saved on cidia. what should i do to update my ipod and rejailbreak

Why don't you restore to 4.1 to get GameCenter and jailbreak it with GreenPoison.

4.1 is probably your best bet for firmware version. Untethered, 4.x, and not total death on the iPT2G.

Use TinyUmbrella's TSS Server to restore to 4.1 via iTunes, then jailbreak with greenpois0n.
