Iphone 3GS Restore Mode *IPad Basebad*

Well guys,
Straight away i know there is already a topic like mine but mine is a bit more complicated.

I got my Iphone 3GS . Running 4.2.1 FW . It was never jailbroken before so no SHSHs files. All i did is i got redsnow and jail broke it. It worked just fine. Downloaded (cant remember name but just to unlock an actual sim) off cydia after it got me to reboot that restore i tunes logo came up. Nothing i can do about it. iReb doesnt work , Tinyumbrella doesnt kick it out of it. I was desperate and tried restoring it with itunes with multiple iOS 3.1.3, 4.1 always ended up getting 1015 error which always led to recovery mode which i cant get out of. Now im really stuck. Tried jailbraking it with redsnow few more times using more iOSs but always ended up freezing in "installing bundles". Now im really worried there is no way out. When i put that iphone i pwned DFU through redsnow itunes give me 3194 error. No way out. Please any help appreciated.

When you said you tried restoring to 3.1.3 to 4.1, you ended up with error 1015, it means that you have shsh blob.
Download tiny umbrella, find out your ECID (if iphone is not bootable) and input in TU manually, click save shsh to get all available shsh.

You need a custom 4.2.1 to restore to with no baseband in it. Do you have access to a Mac?

Ok. 2 UP. I could of saved it in cydia while i was running it. It asked me for it now i remember. So i TU i found out it says ECID (DEC) : 1114115 when i added that as a new device now i downloaded 2 SHSHs off it.

*iPhone 3GS 4.1 (8B117)
*iPhone 3GS 4.2b3 (8C5115c)
*iPhone 3GS 4.2.1 (8C148a)
What should i do next when i have saved them down ? Thanks

And BTW even tho i downloaded them off it still says Device is not connected at the bottom . I guess its just a bug.

I suggest you restore to 4.1. When you get the 1015 error use the exit recovery button in tiny umbrella. If that isnt working try recboot.

Sorry im such a noob but this is my first touch with apple. So i clicked start TSS Server

And in the log it says :
".....
TSS Server Started !
TSS Server Accepting Connections ..... "

And ut stays at it. Also it says at the top that TU TSS server is running. So how will i go about restoring it now ? Please be patient with me

Just a normal dfu , shift + restore to stock 4.1, kick out error 1015 , put your official sim in, jailbreak it with Limera1n. Unlock with Ultrasn0w if you have the ipad BB.

With the TSS server running, open itunes, hold shift down and click restore. A window will open where you can shoose the 4.1 firmware. If you need a 4.1 firmware you can download it from here: iPod, iPhone and iPad Firmware Download

Thanks again but got an 1604 error in itunes. Ill never get it to work ;/ Maybe its because of a bad ispw file. Ill download a new one in few mins and let ye know again .

1604 is a custom firmware error. Are you restoring to a regular 4.1 or a custom 4.1?

Im not sure man i used one that i tried using redsnow with maybe it was modified with it . Ill have one off that website in 2 more minutes well see if that one works.

I used that new one and still got 1604 error while it was preparing my phone . Also everything was done in TU properly. I dont know what to do now ;/ Any more ideas ?

Any ideas still didnt get to fix it. Still getting the same errors in itunes 10 , 3194 etc.

I dont know what else to say but make sure you are doing all the steps required. Make sure the phone is in pwned dfu first (done with redsnow) and make sure your hosts are set to point to cydia.

Ok so i figured out what to do . I changed my computer i was doing it on and i got past restore thing . Got 1015 error quit out of itunes but my iphone is not booting.Its in pwned dfu mode all the time. Tried booting tehtered with redsnow because it always helped but now it doesnt. Wont boot up im nearly there tho .

What firmware were you restoring to when you got the 1015 error?

4.2.1 because TU didnt find 4.1 on the other computer.

You cant exit recovery when you get the 1015 error when restoring to 4.2.1. You need to use a custom 4.2.1 firmware with no baseband in it to restore to.

Now that makes sense i have a custom FW as well maybe it will work . Thanks well see in next few minutes ...

Remember to enter pwned dfu first before trying to restore to a custom firmware.

Ok so still not working but,
Restored my custom 4.2.1 FW ended up with itunes saying that my restore was succesful and it should reboot in 4 secs but it didnt and that window came up again saying that its in recovery mode. But its still not booting ;/
