went from 3.1.3 to 4.1 on 3gs, battery issue?

i had 3.1.3 jb and usually 3.1.3 the battery can last me all day no problem % left at the end of the day, since i went to 4.1 i noticed, it can barelly do the day and sometimes i have to charge it at work, i was wondering what could cause this issue?

If you hacktivated it can cause this on 4.1

well wait, i went from 3.1.3 using Tiny and restored, i am on windows, so i am not sure what this hactivation is

Are you on official carrier for your iphone ? Hactivation means you use jailbreak tool to get past emergency screen.

ya, the only thing i did with my phone is jb, its on official carrier and all, i used spirit for 3.1.3 jb i think and i just used tiny and restored to 4.1 then used limerain, but i was thinking initially if it wasnt the ios multitasker that kept using a lot of my battery so i was trying to figure out if i can turn that thing off and use backgrounder i had from 3.1.3

Doesnt sound like you hactivated then. Might be something you are leaving open in the background.

Don't complicate things here with too many steps and tools, restore to stock 4.1 with the help of your saved 4.1 shsh blob, let your ATNT sim to activate and jailbreak with Limera1n or you can use redsn0w to put you into dfu mode and restore to custom fw 4.1 created by snowbreeze 2.1.
Make sure you use expert mode and uncheck activate my iphone while building your snowbreeze fw of 4.1

before i do this out of curiosity, what is the average life of a 3gs iphone on 4.1 ?

Depends what you are doing I guess but with normal use I would say you still need to charge every night but should be able to make it through the day.
