Default Jailbreak crashes / safe mode

    OK so I have a
    iphone 3g
    3.1.2
    jailbreakme.com
    few jb apps.

My issue is this thing crashes 10 to 20 times a day. Ive done a restore on it re jailbroke it loaded the bare min. and worked fine for about a day. Springboard safe all the time.. In wierd stuff like launching mail.

From the best I can remember I have bitesms, weather icon and battery control and thats about it.

Ive tried using crash reporter but it doesnt tell me anything really. What am I doing wrong? Frustrated as I dont know what else to do. Any suggestions?

When you rejailbroke the phone did you set up as new or sync from backup? The problem might be in your backup.

You'll have to manually sync your apps back to your phone. As for your contacts you'll need to sync those to your mac or windows address book first so you can sync them back after a fresh restore. Be sure to choose the "merge" option if prompted.

ok. maybe i should start fresh with my apps and back up my contacts, notes etc. I dont know if the error is with my apps or the data stored on my phone. I dont mind starting fresh with new apps.. there dumb anyway.

Yup, always best to setup as new if you can, especially when experiencing issues.

Just make sure you have your contacts and notes synced to your computer under the info tab in itunes first. Then you can restore to the firmware you want. 3.1.3 is the best firmware for a iPhone 3G IMO. Just download a copy of 3.1.3, shift restore to it in itunes, then you can jailbreak with jailbreakme.com again.
