3G OS 3.0 update to 4.1 (keeping BB 4.26.08) - please point me in the direction
Reading through many posts and general info, there are instructions for 3.1x updates (for iPhone 3g), but I can't find anything for an older 3.0 OS with BB 4.26.08. Haven't updated it in a long time, I know I want to keep the BB - but what's the general idea?
For 3.1, you run sn0wbreeze, load up 4.1, build a custom FW, and load it. Is the process similar? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I'm on TMobile - so it needs to stay unlockable...

Custom Firmware Depot (Mod Approved)
You're looking for /iPhone2,1_4.1_8B117_unactivated_nobbupdate_newrom. ipsw by the way.
EDIT: That IPSW will require a legitimate carrier SIM (e.g., AT&T) to activate the phone. It's totally unactivated, I don't think SAM will do it.

I'm more looking for something I can update to keep my TMobile (US) unlocked status. I don't have an ATT SIM... I'm currently jailbroken (Blackra1n), and unlocked (ultrasn0w?). Just looking to update the thing, but it seems since it's older, this subject is not as easy as I would've thought...

From where you are, use Sn0wbreeze 2.1 or PwnageTool. If it's a 3G phone I'd recommend the older Sn0wbreeze 2.0.2 as it isn't so buggy. I'd recommend PwnageTool more since it's the best for custom firmwares. If you don't own a Mac, you'd have to find the custom fw made by PwnageTool online. Just be assured that it doesn't have the baseband upgrade (iPad baseband 6.15.00). Also if you don't have official SIM, that it is an activated version. Once you get the custom fw, since you jailbroke with Blackra1n, you'll likely not run into any errors while restoring to the custom firmware so that's good. But you might want to set it into pwned DFU mode if you do run into errors. To do so, just get Redsn0w 0.9.6b6 and select the owned DFU only option (and nothing else) before restoring to the custom fw.
