Default iPhone 3GS stuck in DFU mode after restore

I had iOS 4.0.2 on my iPhone 3GS. I had to restore again to the same version for some reasons but I was having some problem when I regularly put my iPhone to DFU mode and restore.
So I used iREB to put my device in DFU mode and then restored to 4.0.2... (I'm using TinyUmbrella, otherwise it fails to verify)
It gave no error during restoration but when it is completed, iTunes say that your phone has been restored but then it puts the iPhone to DFU mode again (black screen, and iTunes says to restore again)

I tried to press/hold Home + Power, it goes again to the DFU mode.

TinyUmbrella is not detecting my iPhone, I cant even use "Exit Recovery" button there.

Please help me get out of this problem... =/

Try unplugging the phone and letting it shut off. Then go ahead and plug it back in and see if TinyUmbrella will recognize it.

i just see nothing... i see the display only when i put back my iphone in dfu mode using ireb and restore using itunes... i just see the apple logo and a progress bar... after the progress bar is completed, my iphone just shows a blankscreen.. and itunes shows it as dfu/recovery mode..

how do i turn it off?

EDIT: if i manually trigger to dfu mode (without ireb) and restore it, itunes gives error 1600..
when i put 3gs to dfu mode using ireb and restore, iphone first shows a white screen and then black screen with apple logo and progress bar..

    Hey I fixed it!
I put my iphone into DFU mode using iREB and then updated it to stock iOS 4.2.1... And then jailbroke it using redsn0w!

Did it boot after you updated it to 4.2.1? As I am at that stage ATM.

Did you solve it? I have the exact same problem with my iphone4. And I don't want to upgrade to 4.2.1 before there is a good (untethered) jailbreak
