    Default SHSH Blobs? Downgrading

Alright, so I have an MC model Ipod touch 2nd gen. With iOS 4.1 jailbroken (Somehow. I think I used limera1n)

Anyhow, it being a 2nd gen, when I got it 3.1.3 And had jailbroken it once. I didn't save the SHSH Blobs, and was told to upgrade to 4.1 and use Limera1n or Greenpois0n to jailbreak it again. And so just now, I'm FINALLY sick of how shitty iOS 4.1 is, and wanna go back to 3.1.3

I have my 4.1 SHSH Blobs, but can't get my 3.1.3 blobs. I've also heard that Apple has stopped signing 3.1.3 iOS. So what the hell do I do?!

Also, if it is possible to downgrade, what is your advice on saving/restoring cydia apps, tweaks, mods, and repos?

On that model there is nothing you can do. You need the 3.1.3 SHSH to restore to that.

Right now there is no way for you to go back to 3.1.3 on that model iTouch 2G without having 3.1.3 SHSH. If you had a MB model 2G then you would be fine as they dont require SHSH for pre 4.0 firmware.

How lovely. That makes me mad, because iOS 4.1 really does suck balls on this iPod.

Ya it is really bad on the older models. Maybe that new news of tiny umbrella being able to restore devices without itunes will help you once it is released.

If you don't have it in cydia, then you cannot download it using Tiny Umbrella.

You must have had saved the 3.1.x SHSHs way back when they were still being signed. Now they aren't, so anything not being signed now you cannot save. You started saving at 4.0 so that's the farthest back you can go. I would say if the performance on your device is severely lacking, I recommend to disable multitasking and wallpaper. This will significantly help your device's performance. I have an iPod Touch 2G on 4.1 and hated it on 4.1. It's still on 4.1 but I disabled those things and now it runs very well. If you'd like added speed, you can also disable launch daemons and remove unused language packs. Doing that will free up a good 5-15MB (varies for different people).
