I have tried to upgrade the iphone from 3.0 which was a jailbroken version. I upgraded the phone, then tried to jail break with redsnow 9.5.b6. It went through fine then all of the sudden it crashed at the pineapple. It has not been able to restart fully ever since. I cant restore it with any way possible, i dont have my shsh saveed. What can I do. I have tried using tiny umbrella but have been told that does not work if you did not save the shsh from before. Every time i just try and do a restore with apple it gets to the end of the restore and gives me an error of 1015 and does not fully restart and eventually just goes back to the recovery mode.
Ok so exactly what do i have to do with this custom restore file once its done, because ive downloaded so many ipsw files its ridiculous. Do you want me to hold shift and r in itunes, then click restore and select the file? or do you want me to run redsnow and select the file?
Get redsnow 0.9.6b6 and a copy of the regular 4.2.1 firmware.
Run redsnow, browse for regular 4.2.1, say no to the popup since you have old bootrom.
Choose the option: just enter pwned dfu
follow steps to go into dfu
Once in pwned dfu shift restore to the custom 4.2.1 in itunes
Once done and at emergency call screen activate with a official carrier sim if you have one
If not just use redsnow again, browse for 4.2.1 regular and just choose the option to install cydia
ok its now just beeping for a while lol, never had it do that before. SO here is whats new, i installed the regular firmware with redsnow, that did the custom firmware with itunes restore. Then it booted into emergency. I then turned off phone ran redsnow because i dont have a simcard with att anymore. and did the redsnow with install cydia. Now its rebooted to the apple logo has a little white circle that is not moving, and is now beeping that i have never heard before. Its been beeping for like 3 min straight.
