Unable to Jailbreak?

I jailbroke my iPhone 4 using LimeRa1n a few weeks ago.

I messed something up, so I went into Cydia and removed it from my phone.

Now, I'm trying to use LimeRa1n to jailbreak my phone again, and even when it says it's successful, Cydia won't appear on my phone.

I even restored my phone to factory and tried jailbreaking it, still no Cydia.

Can anyone help me out?

Try redsnow 0.9.6b6 instead.

Does it work for iPhone 4? The README only mentions up to the 3GS.

Alright, awesome. Hopefully it works. I can't figure out why Cydia wouldn't install after uninstalling it once.

I'll let you know how this goes shortly.

Limera1n can be a bit finicky sometimes.

Does redsn0w take a long time? It's been on "uploading RamDisk" for maybe 5 minutes now with no visible progress?

Try running it in windows xp sp2 compatibility mode.

Tried a 2nd time, ramdisk got further but again paused. Gonna try in compatibility mode.

Also, every time I want to reboot my iPhone I have to use redsn0w? Is that what it told me at the end?

No prob. Download tiny umbrella and press save SHSH with your phone connected to see what you get.

Goddamn it. I installed WinterBoard from Cydia (had to reboot) and now my phone is stuck on the Apple Logo screen? If I hold home+power it'll go black for a moment then come back.

It doesn't seem to be responding to anything else?

You need to run redsnow and boot tethered.

Phew, okay, thanks. I didn't want to try that because redsnow seemed to make a point about your device being OFF. I'll get umbrella shortly and get that information.

Ya doesn't have to be off, just has to be in dfu. The message just says to be off so that it gives people clear cut instructions.
