Angry iPhone stuck in infinite reboot loop

On running cydia yesterday there was an update related to (I guess) ultrasnow (I dont remember precisely) but it was important so without paying much attention I updated it. Soon after updating the phone lost signal, even on respring the signal did not return. So I rebooted the phone and then it got stuck in an infinite reboot loop. I have 3GS which was running on 4.0.1 and unlocked.

I tried putting in DFU mode but no success. The phone gets stuck at the itunes-usb logo. Tried iREB , RecBoot and TinyUmbrella but the phone cannot be kicked out of the reboot loop.

I read everything that I found on the forums but did not find an appropriate solution. The links to ibeej's killsub for windows is not working. I dont care for the data in it, now I just want it to start properly.

I dont mind downgrading to 3.1.3 or any other OS . I have all the SHSH's saved but the phone is not getting detected on the PC in anyway. Please give a way in which I can get the phone detected or something.

    thanks for the reply.

Somehow the iphone is now detected by the PC and itunes gives the option to restore. But now the problem is, even though I had SHSH's saved I am not able to verify any of the previous iOS with apple. I added the line 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com to the host file and tried 4.0.x and even 4.1 but in vain. Previously I was running 4.0.1 so ofcourse that SHSH is stored on cydia server, also I had used 'make my life easier' cydia but I am not able to verify iOS with the server. Previously I have downgraded from 4.0.2 to 4.0.1 so I have done the process and I am sure I have the blobs saved on cydia server.

Also I am using unlock so I am not sure if I should just go ahead and restore directly from itunes. Any help will be much appreciated.

You should put the phone in dfu when trying to restore using SHSH. As long as you don't restore to 4.1 or 4.2.1 then you will still be able to unlock.
