Error 1618... PLEASE HELP!

Hi, I tried to restore my iphone and there was an error in the process... now, my phone will not turn on at all. If i plug it into the computer, itunes pops up and says the iphone needs to be restored. If I click "restore" it starts to restore but then gets error 1618.... Does anyone have any idea what to do?

I just want it working again any way possible.

Try uninstalling then reinstalling itunes then try the restore again. Never seen 1618 before but thats what it suggests here: iTunes Errors - The iPhone Wiki

I uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and still the same error... this is very weird

Ya, not sure, that error is a strange one. Maybe try a different computer if you can.

I just finished trying to restore on a different computer through iTunes and now the error is

"the iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. This device isn't eligible for the requested build"

This doesn't make sense if I'm updating through iTunes does it? iTunes downloaded the firmware itself and is trying to restore.

Ya that is strange, if itunes is doing the whole process it should be downloading the latest version and not give you that error.

So I'm curious cuz I have done all that you have and some but still can't figure it out. Plus I screwed up and didn't save any good SHSH's so I really don't know what to do. EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!! Help please..

the same problem can`t doing any thing ...can`t install 4.3.5 or any thing just dfu loop

If you want to restore to 4.3.5 as apple is signing this firmware, run TU , uncheck set hosts file to Cydia , close TU and do your latest firmware restore.
