springboard crashes after incoming sms

Hello i've just updated to 4.2.1 and everytime i get an sms my springboard crashes and goes to safe mode. Any idea what could be wrong??

i'm usin new baseband iPhone 3gs unlocked and jailbroken.

I have a 3g with baseband 16.15 and am having the same problem, on top of which my battery is draining faster then ever. all of this happened after i followed the new redsn0w 0.9.6b6 tut. It was working with the previous redsn0w jb and ultrasn0w unlock

I have the same problem, JB 4GS on 4.2.1

I upgraded the baseband to that o fthe iPad with RedSn0w, I wonder if I can downgrade to 4.1!!

Don't know if this'll help but I had the same problem with my iphone4 on 4.2.1 when using jb SMS apps. I'm no expert but I believe when some apps are not compatible with a newer software they can sometimes crash the program, the springboard, or just not work 100%...

Whe'll what I did was goto setting/general/reset/reset all settings. then rejailbreak it foliwing the latest redsn0w tut

Ok guys I think I have a solution !!
Donot install any app from Cydia that aids SMS like I myself installed SMS helper !!
I removed it coz I thought it will b clashing with firmware as it itself got character counter and bingo !!
SMS crashing stopped !!
Think what u guys have installed and is clashing !! Remove and try if it works !!

It's not with any additional apps. Don't really know if it's the firmware/baseband or the redsnow unlock but it's one of those three. My problem happends in the regular call mode, and regular sms. Crashes when i hangup, lags a little but, and when i get incoming txt on lockscreen. I guess we are just gonna have to wait for a update or new jb

and i think it's the custome baseband. I Jailbroke 4 iphone 4's with the same Program version and np vola!

The problem is the baseband. The phone and the software want to do it but the baseband if conflicting with it... Or it could be the unlock(redsn0w) not sure yet haven't narrowed it down. Can't find anywhere to post for Dev team to see tht there are problems with it. Anyone come up with any fixes?
